On the occasion of the first Select Spritz Week, we want to realize two important installations
Surprise, with elegance: a mega key in ambient marketing-style
From 25 to 28 May 2023 there has been the first Select Spritz Week, four days of artistic and cultural events to celebrate Select’s return to its home city.
For this special occasion we at Remor also had the opportunity to contribute with the realization of an ambient marketing-style set-up.
We have been involved by the venetian Arzanà agency to produce some of the event promotional elements, like the installation of a mega key in Campo Santa Maria Formosa and the complete internal and external decoration of a vaporetto.
These realizations are the result of several working months, collaborations and idea exchanges among our company, Arzanà agency and Enfant Terribles agency and other craftsmen who each contributed with a detail that made the difference for the successful output of the whole event.
The whole Select Spritz Week have been developed around the Ca’ Select opening, a new space in the Cannareggio Sestriere which represent a cultural and meeting point for Venice, and an hosting part of the production process of Select itself.
Idea searching
A mega key, the Ca’ Select inauguration symbol
A huge artistic installation 4 meters long, embellished by an elegant keyholder “Ca’ Select” made in mosaic realized by Orsoni.
Design
After the request of the realization of a mega key, we have designed it taking up a typical sign of the Venetian architecture.
Wow effect
Once identified the style and the installation area, we have studied and evaluated the correct proportions for a wow effect.
Realization
Impressive, yet maneuverable and lightweight
The material choice has been very important since it gave us the possibility to create the key in the established dimensions maintaining its impressiveness but, at the same time, to make it maneuverable and lightweight for an easy transport with ships in the venetian territories.
Handmade
The whole structure and decorations are handmade and, together with the keyholder produced by the historic Orsoni kiln, they have been installed on an elegant blue stage.
Textured effect
The material had to be made porous and treated with special paint for an aged brass finish.
A vaporetto, or a living room of a historic building?
The elegant blue stage, together with the bronze-colored key and the red keyholder have reproduced the unmistakable red and blue of the Select brand, in line with the venetian style but with a contemporary touch, the same of the new Ca’ Select.
But this is not all: when you think about how to move around Venice, the vaporetto is undoubtedly one of the means you think about, and it is one of the city symbols.
This is why in occasion of the Select Spritz Week one of this typical mean of the lagoon has been transformed into a venetian living room: a vintage one, where you sit and pass the time admiring its beauty.
From the ideas and developments of Arzanà and Enfants Terribles, we have been working on the complete transformation of this vaporetto used for traditional public service routes.
Decoration
Transforming a vaporetto into a floating bar
A classic means of transport brought “back in time” for the occasion.
Typicality
A vaporetto has become an old Venetian living room, one of those where you sit with an aperitif while admiring its beauty.
Decoration
The full wrapping with digitally printed OneWay removable films permits a total customization of the vehicle.
Mood
Upholstered seats, embroidery, gold counters and contrasting carpeting
The choice of special finishes allowed us to turn a vaporetto into something unique.
Setting
We covered the floor with blue carpeting and transformed 50 seats into comfortable sofas with upholstered velvet covers and matching cushions.
Furniture
We produced tables, coffee tables and counters in red and gold lacquered wood, completing the transformation of the vaporetto into a real travelling living room.
A special thanks to the venetian Arzanà agency, which involved us in this prestigious project, and to the collaboration with Arch. Stefano Battaglia.
