Visual communication
Graphic design and visual communication: how a customized product is created
At Remor, for over 40 years we have been developing new ideas and innovative solutions through customized graphic design to curate and improve our customers’ visual communication.
Starting from each customers’ specific requirements, project, needs or problem, we go on to customize their product or find the most suitable solution through graphic design. Our company is able to carry out customized design for personalized solutions that suit the most varied visual merchandising requirements as:
- a new shop sign
- a display for products
- a new look for shop windows
- the study of company directional signage
- an anonymous van that does not attract customers
- the setting up of an event for which the customer does not know where to start.
Ideas and solutions for graphic design
Giving shape to ideas, therefore, is not everything: our strength, also given by our experience, is to find the best solution for a problem that is presented to us. In finding the best solution we ensure that customers can best and concretely expose their image to the outside world, through the identifying elements that the brand has, such as the institutional sign, the company headquarters, the company fleet and everything that falls within the world of visual merchandising.

In order to establish and consolidate the relationship between us and the customer, the first discussion is indispensable and necessary to arrive at a tailor-made design.
Depending on what we are devising in terms of graphic design and visual communication, this first meeting may coincide with:
- an inspection at the customer’s premises, such as in the case of a new window sticker
- brainstorming in order to define the general characteristics of the product, such as in the customised design of a display
- the creation of a list of elements to be realised, such as in the case of the conception and graphic design of the signage for a new green area.
The first meeting with the customer
On these occasions, our technical and commercial experts define all the specifics of the project and take measurements down to the millimeter in order to define the details in the best possible way, in order to avoid any technical hiccups that may arise during the development of the specific visual merchandising project.
So, whether it is the decoration of a vehicle, the redesigning of a corporate identity, a new sign or the setting up of an event, understanding the counterpart’s ideas and defining the budget are among the elements that our sales staff try to define from the outset and then continue with the conception and graphic design.
Especially if the customer does not have a clear idea from the outset, our experience and technical skills acquired in over 40 years of work in the field of visual communication are a source of support in bringing together the thinking of all parties involved to arrive at a clearer and more precise vision of the artefact to be produced.
Custom design, development, product realization
Once all the details have been defined, it is then time to enter the actual development phase, making alternative graphic proposals, with specifications of measurements and details.
At this stage of the design process, 3D renderings produced by our in-house graphics department are particularly helpful for the customer.
3D renders have a dual purpose:
- they allow all technical details to be highlighted
- they allow to graphically visualise the finished product in its installation context.
For example, in the case of the graphic design of new signage for the company HQ, all new signs rather than totems are graphically placed in the exact position where they will later be installed. In this way so all considerations can be made and possible changes can be evaluated.
The development of the technical design allows the feasibility of the product to be analysed, and any relevant technical aspects necessary for the actual realisation of the finished product to be defined. At this stage, the choice of materials is also crucial to examine the final effect of the product.
Not just graphic design: prototyping and the economic side of the project
Once the graphic design has been carried out, when it comes to products such as new displays, prototyping usually takes place before the final delivery.
This serves to bring out any bottlenecks not detectable upstream, but above all defines the final selling price. Only the actual realisation of at least one artefact makes it possible to evaluate all aspects of graphic design and visual communication.
Even at the economic level, we can therefore essentially identify 3 items:
- The development of the visual merchandising project, its improvements and revisions
- The realisation of the prototype
- The final supply
Once the quotation has been approved, either in full or in stages, we then move on to the realisation of the required quantities.
When it comes to graphic design and customised design, not all work follows the above steps exactly; in fact, in various projects some steps may not be present.
Whether small-scale or large-scale production is no problem for our production. All artefacts follow a bespoke graphic design and realisation and are actually made by the hands of our expert craftsmen, directly in our HQ in Gardigiano di Scorzè (VE)
An example of interior signage design
In this project, we started with the creation of a small hand-made sketch of the product, based on the customer’s requirements.
We then moved on to the realisation of 3D renderings, to allow the customer to understand the final rendering of the product placed directly in its context.
And finally, once the project was approved, we produced these totems directly inside our work areas, then installed them at the ready.
